Kent County Parks and Recreation's Girls Little League Softball offers young athletes the chance to develop their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. Open to players of all skill levels, our program focuses on building confidence and fostering a love for the game. Join us for an exiting season of softball! All participants must register through Sports Connect. Opening Day: Saturday, April 11, 2026 (rain date 4/25/26).

The Co-Ed Youth Beach Volleyball League brings together young athletes for an exciting season of teamwork, sportsmanship, and sun-soaked competition. This league focuses on skill, development, friendly rivalry, and building community connections. Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, it's the perfect way to stay active, make friends, and enjoy the beach vibes all season long. Weekly practices will be scheduled Monday-Friday at Worton Park. Games are typically played on Saturday at various locations throughout Kent and Queen Anne's Counties. In conjunction with Queen Anne's Parks & Recreation, KCPR's Youth Indoor Soccer program emphasizes fun, skill development, equal playtime, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Kids will enjoy learning the game in an engaging and supportive environment. The season starts with two weeks of practice at KCCC beginning the week of January 4th, followed by games starting on January 18th. Teams meet once a week. We are looking for volunteer coaches to join the program!

 Get ready for KCPR Little League Softball with our FREE clinics! These clinics offer targeted instruction for players of all levels, focusing on fielding and hitting techniques. Led by experienced coaches, participants will receive personalized guidance to improve accuracy, power, and overall performance. Ideal for players looking to gain confidence and take their game to the next level. No session on December 27.

The Junior Wrestling program is a member of the Upper Chesapeake Junior Wrestling League, giving young wrestlers an opportunity to compete against the best wrestlers in Maryland. Tuesday and Thursday practices are held at the Kent County Community Center, and Wednesday practices are held at the KCPS Transportation Office (Old Worton Elementary School).

The excitement kicks off the week of November 10, with practices held at local public schools and at the Kent County Community Center. Games will be played on Fridays or Saturdays beginning in December at Kent County and Queen Anne's locations.

Bump, set, spike - and smile! Our Co-Ed Youth Volleyball Clinics are all about learning the game, building confidence, and having a blast on the court. Whether your child is brand new to volleyball or already dreaming of tournament play, these sessions mix skill-building drills with exciting team challenges and friendly competition.

Led by energetic coaches Karen House, Cheryl Bachmann, and Lyndsay Williams who love the game, players will master the basics - serving, passing, setting, and teamwork - all while making new friends and discovering the joy of volleyball. Expect laughter, high-fives, and plenty of action-packed rallies!

All Kent County Parks and Recreation youth sport program volunteers and coaches are required to complete a Volunteer Employee Application Packet, as well as, consent to criminal records history searches. Background search guidelines are followed as recommended by the National Recreation and Parks Association.

For sport leagues and individuals who want to keep their skills sharp throughout the winter months, the batting cage is sure to attract many users. Helmets, balls, and pitching machine provided. Availability of batting cage will be limited due to high interest so don’t delay in securing your rental dates. A private rental of Gym B at the Community Center is required.
